BOONVILLE- A village resident is accused of assaulting a female victim during a dispute earlier this month, authorities say.
Nicholas B. Pohoreskey, 34, of Boonville, NY was arrested Monday by the Village Police Department. Pohoreskey was formally charged with misdemeanor assault in the third-degree.
According to Officer in Charge, Fred Robenski, an arrest warrant was issued for Pohoreskey via Boonville Town Court, stemming from an alleged domestic incident on August 13, which occurred in the village.
During the said incident, it's reported that Pohoreskey assaulted a female victim.
Pohoreskey was due for arraignement in Oneida County CAP Court.
At press time, Boonville Police said an additional charge is pending, but did not specify further.
State Police assisted with the investigation. There were no further details provided.
