BOONVILLE POLICE: License Plate Reading technology assists in latest village busts

BOONVILLE- The village police department says two drivers were busted this week on various DMV suspension related charges, thanks to some of the latest license plate reading technology.

On Tuesday, village patrols stopped a vehicle for having a suspended registration. During the traffic stop, police also discovered there was no active insurance.

The operator, 59-year-old Danielle C. Marquis, of Boonville, NY also had a NY State driver’s license that had a total of six suspensions on 4 different dates.

The license plates and Marquis’ driver’s license were seized and returned to the New York State DMV.

The vehicle was towed and Marquis was issued traffic summons’ returnable in the Town of Boonville Court on a later date.

Later on the same evening, patrols stopped another vehicle along State Route 12, which was operating in the dark with no headlights on. 

Upon checking the status of the operator’s driver’s license, it was found to have 5 suspensions on 4 separate dates.

23-year-old Alexis Pratt-Link of Lyons Falls, was issued traffic summons’ returnable in the Town of Boonville Court.

Her driver’s license was seized and returned to the New York State DMV. She was not allowed to drive from the scene.
