BOONVILLE- Local police arrested a suspect this week who allegedly failed to comply with a traffic stop in the village and possessed meth.
It was during the noon hour on Wednesday when the Village Police Department tried stopping a vehicle on East Schuyler Street.
However, it is reported that the driver failed to comply and continued onto State Route 12 northbound. Patrols say the suspect finally did eventually stop near the Lewis County line.
The driver, Zane M. Mono, 30, of Watertown, NY allegedly possessed a suspended driver’s license and also was wanted on a warrant from the village of Herkimer, NY for a charge of grand larceny.
While Mono was taken into custody, police said they found meth in his possession.
Mono was processed on misdemeanor charges of criminally possessing a controlled substance in the seventh-degree and aggravated unlicensed operation in the third-degree.
Mono was also issued unspecified traffic charges. Upon issuing Mono with appearance tickets, Boonville Police said he was turned over to Herkimer Police to be processed on their warrant.
