Boonville resident facing felony DWI charges in wake of personal injury wreck, State Police says

EATON- A local resident from the North Country is faced with felony intoxicated driving accusations in the wake of a personal injury crash last week in Madison County, authorities say.

Daniel C. Lackey, 51, of Boonville, NY was arrested on January 22 by the New York State Police. Lackey is formally charged with one felony count of DWI (w/two previous convictions within ten-years); one felony count of aggravated unlicensed operation in the first-degree and one misdemeanor count of circumventing an interlock device.

According to Troopers, these charges stem from a reported personal injury wreck last Wednesday in the town of Eaton.

At press time, police said that Lackey was released to a third party.

There were no further details provided.
