CONSTABLEVILLE- Mayor Samantha Brown says the village is due for a face-lift on its infrastructure.
The Mayor says it is time for some major upgrades to the village water system and streets.
"Last year, Constableville got an updated preliminary engineering report done and in total, the project expenses come in somewhere around $13.6 million," the Mayor told us.
"So we took that updated engineering report and we just applied for every single bucket of funding that could potentially apply to us."
Be sure to listen to our latest on-air coverage with Mayor Brown for more details:
According to the Mayor, the village was approved for funding via the federal Bipartisan Infrastructure Legislation. In addition, another source of funding was granted via the Northern Border Regional Commission, which was secured thanks to the help of U.S. Senator Charles Schumer (D-NY).
Mayor Brown says she anticipates a few more key details to surface very soon and will be sharing a more in-depth update when able.
