Boonville vehicle larceny investigation results in several felony charges against Oneida County area resident, Troopers say

BOONVILLE- A town of Boonville vehicle larceny investigation has resulted in the arrest of an Oneida County area resident.

Cody Madonia, 32, of Rome, NY was arrested on Thursday afternoon by the New York State Police (Marcy) for one felony count each of grand larceny in the third-degree (property values exceeding $3,000), possessing a forged instrument in the second-degree, forgery in the second-degree (public record), offering a false instrument for filing in the first-degree and grand larceny in the fourth-degree (property values > $1,000).

Madonia was also charged with one misdemeanor count of scheming to defraud in the second-degree.

According to Troopers, this arrest was made following a vehicle larceny complaint last December in the town of Boonville.

At press time, police said an investigation was pending. Meanwhile, Madonia’s arrest status suggested an appearance for centralized arraignment.
