ONEIDA COUNTY- Boonville Police Chief Dave Olney has been appointed as the latest Chairman of the Oneida County Law Enforcement Coalition.
The coalition just met on October 9 to appoint its latest officers. It was founded by the Sheriff’s Office and other local police figures in 1977, with aims of bringing county and local law enforcement together, informally, to discuss mutual concerns, while also identifying common issues and working together towards solutions.
For nearly 50-years, the coalition has stood and helped serve the people of Oneida County and beyond.
The coalition meets on a monthly basis.
The coalition currently consists of members from every State, County and Local Law Enforcement agency as well as representatives from the United States Military, Probation, Parole, District Attorney's office and Courts.
