BOONVILLE- Various tools and other items have reportedly been stolen from the BYAA facility and the Village Police Department is currently investigating.

Police officials say were a string of three different incidents starting sometime between Sunday and Monday, where someone stole three keys from motorized equipment at the park, which is used by volunteers to maintain the facility.

Next, between the overnight hours from late Monday and into Tuesday, investigators learned that someone broke into the clubhouse (the door was damaged from being forced open) and stole various items, including a cordless leaf blower kit, a battery and battery charger, along with a bolt cutter.

During that same approximate time frame, someone else broke into a contractor’s equipment trailer on the grounds and stole a whole bunch of various equipment. List of items stolen are below

From the Clubhouse:

Milwaukee M18 Cordless Leaf Blower Kit.
Milwaukee M18 High Output XC 6.0 Battery.
Bolt Cutter 24L BC-24.
Manual Battery charger.

From the contractor’s trailer:

20 DeWalt Batteries
11 Milwaukee Batteries
1 Skill Saw 10 ¼ Cut with Batteries (new)
1 Skill Saw Worm Gear Drive (new)
1 DeWalt ½ Impact Tool
2 Milwaukee Impact Tools
2 Milwaukee Finish Nailers
1 Milwaukee Sawzall
1 DeWalt Battery Tin Nibbler
1 Milwaukee Multi Tool
1 Honda 2000w Generator

The Boonville Police says this crime spree will directly impact the staff of volunteers for the BYAA, as they operate on minimum budgets and each loss will take a toll.

Anyone who has information that can assist with this investigation is asked to immediately contact the Boonville Village Police at 315-338-2888 (if no one is present at the office, leave a message and someone will return your call).
