Camden area resident charged with criminal contempt and assault in Leyden

LEYDEN- A disturbance last week in Southern Lewis County has resulted in charges filed against an Oneida County area resident.

According to the New York State Police (Lowville), Alexis Elizabeth Casler, 22, of Camden, NY was arrested Tuesday evening on one misdemeanor count each of criminal contempt in the second-degree (disobeying court order) and assault in the third-degree (w/intent to cause physical injury).

Troopers are reporting that these charges stem from a disturbance complaint filed during the early hours of Friday, October 9 in the town of Leyden.

At press time, authorities said an investigation was still pending.

Casler was issued with an appearance ticket.

No further information was made available.
