CARTHAGE- A physical domestic dispute last week in the village has resulted in charges filed against two local subjects, according to authorities.
Carthage Police responded to a domestic dispute on State Street during the afternoon of December 19.
According to Chief of Police John J. Poggi III, investigation resulted in a violation of second-degree harassment filed against Justin R. Kurzenberger, 32, of Watertown, NY and one misdemeanor count of assault in the third-degree filed against Hannah L. Rook, 26, of Carthage, NY.
It is alleged that Rook caused physical injury to Kurzenberger by kicking him in the face and striking his right eye, authorities said. Meanwhile, it is alleged that Kurzenberger shoved and pushed Rook during the incident.
Following an arraignment in Jefferson County CAP Court, Rook was released on her own recognizance and will address the charge in court at a later date.
Kurzenberger was released with an appearance ticket and will address the charge in Jefferson County CAP Court at a later date.
