Carthage resident accused in North Country shoplifting case, Troopers say

LERAY- A North Country resident is accused of shoplifting in Jefferson County, authorities say.

Cora E. Towner, 28, of Carthage, NY was arrested Sunday night by the New York State Police (Watertown). Towner is officially charged with one misdemeanor count of petit larceny.

According to Troopers, Towner faced with the accusation stemming from shoplifting complaints filed earlier that evening in the town of Le Ray.

At press time, police said Towner was issued with an appearance ticket.
