Carthage resident charged for disobeying court order: NYSP

CHAMPION- A North Country resident is charged for allegedly violating an order of protection, authorities say.

It was shortly before 11:45 p.m. Monday when the New York State Police in Carthage arrested Lacie A. Thomas, 22, of Carthage, NY. Thomas is officially charged with one misdemeanor count of criminal contempt in the second-degree (disobeying court order).

According to Troopers, Thomas’ accusation stems from complaints in the town of Champion, which were initially received a little while before the arrest took place.

At press time, police said Thomas was issued with an appearance ticket.

There were no further details included.
