Carthage resident charged with criminal obstruction of breathing in Wilna, police say

WILNA- A North Country resident is faced with an accusation stemming from reports of a domestic dispute in Jefferson County, authorities say.

Ricky F. Farney, 46, of Carthage, NY was arrested Monday morning by the New York State Police (Carthage). Farney is formally charged with one misdemeanor count of criminal obstruction of breathing.

According to Troopers, the charge stems from an alleged domestic dispute, which was reported Monday morning in the town of Wilna.

At press time, police said that Farney’s arrest status was listed as centralized arraignment.

There were no further details released.
