NYSP: Two Poland residents charged with criminally possessing controlled substance in Verona

VERONA- Two local residents from Herkimer County face charges of possessing a controlled substance, authorities say.

Edwin E. Cole III, 46, and Wendi L. Burke, 49, both of Poland, NY were arrested late Saturday by the New York State Police (Sylvan Beach). Both suspects are formally charged with one misdemeanor count each of criminally possessing a controlled substance in the seventh-degree.

According to Troopers, these arrests were made in the town of Verona.

At press time, police said that Cole and Burke were issued with an appearance ticket.

There were no further details provided.
