LEWIS COUNTY- A challenger for Lewis County Legislator District 6 has announced their campaign for election.

Steven Stogsdill says he is stepping into the race to challenge Andrea Moroughan. She’s had that seat since 2014.

Stogsdill says he was born and raised in Lowville, NY and served in our Nation’s Armed Forces for 8 1/2-years.

His military service concluded as a crewmember of the USS Constitution.

He spent ten-years being the lead supervisor for Buckingham Hardware and is currently employed with Lowville Farmer’s Co-op.

Stogsdill is a father of three and a grandfather to one.

Among the things he lists on his platform, Stogsdill says he would advocate for more law enforcement to battle the rising crime rates, while also finding pathways for new businesses and representing residents of District 6 and what they believe needs to be accomplished.

The June Primary in New York State is aimed for June 27.
