MARTINSBURG- A vandalism case in Lewis County has resulted against charges filed against a local resident, authorities say.

Anthony R. Diangelo, 30, of Glenfield, NY is formally charged by the New York State Police (Lowville) with one felony count of assault in the second-degree (w/intent to cause serious physical injury w/a weapon and/or instrument), along with one misdemeanor count each of criminally possessing a weapon and criminal mischief.

According to Troopers, the arrest stems from a vandalism case reported on the night of September 6 in the town of Martinsburg.

At press time, police said an investigation was pending.

An arrest status for Diangelo was not available and there were no further details released.
