Charges filed in Herkimer County larceny investigations: NYSP

NEWPORT- Charges have been filed in the wake of two larceny investigations in Herkimer County.

On Tuesday afternoon, the New York State Police (Herkimer) arrested and charged Shane John Karl Wood, 20, of Cold Brook, NY and Nyoemi Abigale Gallogly, 26, of Newport, NY with one misdemeanor count each of petit larceny.

Meanwhile, police also charged Wood with another misdemeanor of criminally possessing a controlled substance in the seventh-degree. These charges all stem from a report filed on August 12 in the town of Newport.

In a separate case, police also charged Wood with a misdemeanor of petit larceny in the town of Newport stemming from a complaint filed on August 15.

At press time, police said an investigation was pending, while both Gallogly and Wood were issued with appearance tickets.
