Chobani Investing $1 Billion in Rome for a New Yogurt Factory

ROME- Chobani is set to invest $1 billion in establishing a new Greek yogurt manufacturing facility at the Griffiss Triangle Site in Rome. This announcement was made by U.S. Senator Chuck Schumer prior to a press conference held at Griffiss at 10:30 a.m. on today, attended by federal, state and local representatives. This is "the largest investment in natural food making in American history," according to Schumer. The new facility is projected to generate 1,000 new jobs which is a boost for the economy of the area as well as local dairy farmers.
