
LEWIS COUNTY- Emergency responders were on the scene of a snowmobile accident Thursday afternoon in southern Lewis County.
It happened on the North Road (Trail C4F), near Constableville, NY, according to Lewis County Emergency Dispatch.
Constableville Fire Department was the primary responder. Constableville Ambulance and Constableville Rescue also responded. Lyons Falls Ambulance assisted.
The snow rescue team says the accident occurred about 7-miles from the nearest paved roadway. A landing zone was established for a medical helicopter.
As of this report, there were no further details to share from fire department officials. We anticipate further updates to surface from local police investigators.
With that said, emergency dispatch indicated another snowmobile accident that occurred near the West Road in the town of Martinsburg, nearest to the Lee Road intersection.
