Deceased infant investigation remains ongoing in Steuben: NYSP

ONEIDA COUNTY- Authorities are investigating the case of a deceased 8-month-old baby in Oneida County.

State Police were called shortly after 7:30 p.m. last Thursday to an address in the town of Steuben, NY.

9-1-1 dispatchers received calls about an unresponsive female infant. When Troopers arrived, it’s reported that they attempted life saving measures, but unfortunately yielded no successful results.

The infant was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital, where she was officially pronounced deceased.

The investigation remains ongoing. Police say an official autopsy is in the works to determine an official cause of death.
