ANNSVILLE- A man from Oneida County is faced with a swath of charges, including felonies, following a burglary investigation over the weekend, authorities say.
Paul W. Casler, 52, of Lee, NY was arrested Sunday evening by the New York State Police (Oneida). He is officially charged with one felony count each of burglary in the first-degree (dangerous instrument); assault (w/intent to cause physical injury w/a weapon) and aggravated cruelty to animals; along with two misdemeanor counts each of menacing in the second-degree (w/a weapon) and one misdemeanor count each of criminal mischief (intent to damage property) and criminally possessing a weapon in the fourth-degree (w/intent to use).
Troopers say these charges stem from a burglary investigation in the town of Annsville (Oneida County) early Saturday.
At press time, police said Casler was held.
