Deer Park, NY man in Critical Condition following Snowmobile Accident

TOWN OF MONTAGUE-A 44 year old Deer Park, New York man was listed in critical condition following a snowmobile accident in the Town of Montague that occurred Saturday night. Lewis County Sheriff’s deputies investigated a one vehicle crash on Culpepper Road and reported that an Artic Cat F-800cc sled operated by John R. Hare was traveling southbound when his sled exited the side of the trail and struck a tree. Hare was transported to Lewis County General Hospital where he was listed in critical condition. He was subsequently transported to SUNY Upstate. Deputies were assisted by New York State Police, Lewis County Search and Rescue, Martinsburg Volunteer Fire Department, and Groff’s Towing.
