DEPUTIES: Babysitter accused of stealing a "large amount" of money from safe in Lewis County

LOWVILLE- A local woman is accused of stealing cash from a safe while babysitting in Lewis County.

The Sheriff's Office arrested Brianna M. Gerow, 32, of Lowville, NY on Tuesday for felony grand larceny in the third-degree, along with endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor.

Gerow is accused of entering a safe on numerous occasions, while babysitting in the town of Lowville, and taking a large amount of money. 

Surveillance footage from January 31 shows Gerow allegedly stealing from the safe, according to Sheriff's Investigators.

Following an arraignment in CAP Court, Gerow was released on her own recognizance.
