Deputies charge Oneida County resident for allegedly pushing court protected victim to the ground during dispute

LEE- A domestic incident in Oneida County has resulted in the arrest of a local resident.

On Tuesday, the Sheriff’s Office investigated a domestic complaint in the town of Lee, where the victim claimed how she was a protected party under a court order of protection against Louis J. Higby, 48, of Lee Center, NY.

Upon police investigation, Higby was charged with one felony count of criminal contempt in the first-degree and one violation of harassment in the second-degree.

According to Sheriff’s Deputies, what started out as a verbal argument turned physical. It is alleged that Higby pushed the female victim to the ground.

At press time, police said that Higby was processed and held for an arraignment.
