DEPUTIES: Local man accused of aggravated DWI in Lewis County reportedly registered a .26% BAC

GREIG- A local man is charged with aggravated DWI, following a traffic stop this week in Lewis County, according to authorities.

Shawn P. Corbett, 49, of Glenfield, NY was arrested Wednesday evening by the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. Corbett is officially charged with aggravated DWI, DWI and consumption of an alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle.

Deputies say the arrest stems from numerous drivers reporting an erratic vehicle that was heading east on Number Four Road.

Based on descriptions, police began looking out for a 2018 Honda CRV. Patrols soon found Corbett and the Honda vehicle pulled over alongside the Otter Creek Road.

It’s reported that Corbett failed field sobriety tests on scene and was subsequently taken to the Public Safety Building for processing.

While there, police say Corbett registered a .26% BAC.

He was issued with appearance tickets, all returnable to Greig Town Court at a later date.
