Lewis County resident charged with operating vehicle while impaired by drugs and criminally possessing a controlled substance

PITCAIRN- A local resident from Lewis County is accused of operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs, according to police.

Barbara J. Moore, 49, of Harrisville, NY was arrested Wednesday afternoon by the New York State Police (Star Lake). Moore is officially charged with one misdemeanor count each of operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs in the first-degree and criminally possessing a controlled substance in the seventh-degree.

According to Troopers, these charges were issued in the town of Pitcairn. At press time, police said an investigation was pending.

An arrest status for Moore was not provided as of this report.
