WASHINGTON, D.C.- Despite facing a fourth criminal indictment, North Country Congresswoman Elise Stefanik says former U.S. President Donald Trump had “every legal right” to challenge the 2020 election results.

That’s according to a statement released from her office Monday. “This blatant election interference by the Far Left will not work,” Stefanik said.”

"President Trump will defeat these bogus charges and win back the White House in 2024,” she declared.

Her full statement below:

"This is another rogue Far Left radical District Attorney weaponizing their office to target Joe Biden’s top political opponent President Trump. President Trump had every legal right to challenge the results of the election. This radical DA displayed political bias toward President Trump so much that a judge disqualified her from part of this case. This blatant election interference by the Far Left will not work, President Trump will defeat these bogus charges and win back the White House in 2024."

Constructed by an Atlanta, GA Based Grand Jury, a total of 41-counts are racked up and scattered amongst Trump and 18 of his co-defendants:

  • Donald Trump, former US president
  • Rudy Giuliani, Trump lawyer
  • Mark Meadows, White House chief of staff
  • John Eastman, Trump lawyer
  • Kenneth Chesebro, pro-Trump lawyer
  • Jeffrey Clark, top Justice Department official
  • Jenna Ellis, Trump campaign lawyer
  • Robert Cheeley, lawyer who promoted fraud claims
  • Mike Roman, Trump campaign official
  • David Shafer, Georgia GOP chair and fake elector
  • Shawn Still, fake GOP elector
  • Stephen Lee, pastor tied to intimidation of election workers
  • Harrison Floyd, leader of Black Voices for Trump
  • Trevian Kutti, publicist tied to intimidation of election workers
  • Sidney Powell, Trump campaign lawyer
  • Cathy Latham, fake GOP elector tied to Coffee County breach
  • Scott Hall, tied to Coffee County election system breach
  • Misty Hampton, Coffee County elections supervisor
  • Ray Smith, Trump campaign attorney

See the official indictment here.

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, whose office is leading the prosecution efforts for this indictment, has given a high noon deadline of August 25 for all defendants to surrender.

The indictment alleges that Trump and others “joined a conspiracy to unlawfully change the outcome” of the 2020 election results.

The incitement serves as the fourth in as little as only five-months for Trump.

Echoing similar responses since his presidency, Trump has responded by claiming this latest indictment is all just a politically motivated ‘witch hunt.”
