
BOONVILLE- A North Country man is faced with numerous accusations in the wake of a domestic dispute in the town of Boonville, authorities say.
Michael L. Scales, 38, of Evans Mills, NY was arrested on Sunday by the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office. Scales is formally charged with one felony count of criminal contempt in the first-degree; three misdemeanor counts of endangering the welfare of a child and a violation of harassment in the second-degree.
According to Sheriff’s Deputies, patrols responded to complaints at the Adirondack High School. Investigation alleges that Scales grabbed a woman’s hair and threw her to the ground during a custodial exchange of three children.
The victim was evaluated on scene by Boonville Ambulance before transport to Rome Memorial Hospital for an evaluation for non-life threatening injuries.
Meanwhile, Scales was processed and was turned over to the Oneida County Jail pending arraignment.
State Police assisted with the investigation.
