Domestic incident results in charges filed against local resident in Carthage: NYSP

CARTHAGE- A domestic incident in Jefferson County has resulted in charges filed against a North Country resident, authorities say.

Michael D. Williams, 30, of Carthage, NY was arrested Tuesday afternoon by the New York State Police (Lowville). Williams is formally charged with one misdemeanor count each of assault in the third-degree and endangering the welfare of a child.

According to Troopers, these charges all stem from complaints filed in the village of Carthage, NY early Tuesday afternoon.

At press time, an arrest status for Williams was not reported.
