WEST TURIN- A local resident from the North Country is accused of intoxicated driving, following reports of a traffic stop on Friday afternoon in Lewis County.

Christian O. Rogers, 23, of Fort Drum, NY was arrested Friday afternoon by the Sheriff’s Office. Rogers is formally charged with DWI.

Deputies say the arrest was made after 9-1-1 dispatch fielded a complaint, where an erratic driver was spotted heading south on State Route 12 in a 2016 Chevy Malibu.

Following the traffic stop, Rogers was taken to the Public Safety Building for processing, where he reportedly registered a .16% BAC.

Rogers was issued with appearance tickets, which are all returnable to West Turin Town Court at a later date.

Members of the New York State Police and Unlimited Towing assisted on-scene.
