North Country resident charged with alleged intoxicated driving in Croghan, Troopers say

CROGHAN- A North Country resident is accused of intoxicated driving in Lewis County, authorities say.

Donald Duane Zehr, 65, of Carthage, NY was arrested early Monday by the New York State Police (Carthage). Zehr is formally charged with one count each of DWI (first offense) and operating a motor vehicle (w/a .08 of 1% BAC or greater).

According to Troopers, these charges were filed at 1:00 a.m. in the town of Croghan.

At press time, police said that Zehr was issued with an appearance ticket.
