
CROGHAN- A driver who crashed Monday morning in Lewis County was released on appearance tickets.
Sheriff’s Deputies say they responded to reports of a single motor vehicle crash on Old State Road in the town of Croghan, near the Resha Road.
Police discovered a red colored pick-up truck off the Northern shoulder of the roadway.
Investigation revealed the driver, Dakota J. Hubbard, 22, of Carthage, NY was heading West before losing control and crashing.
Hubbard ended up agreeing to and failing field sobriety tests before being taken to the Public Safety Building for processing. While there, police said that Hubbard registered a .15% BAC.
Hubbard was released with appearance tickets, which are returnable to Croghan Town Court. Deputies did not specify the exact charges filed against Hubbard.
Croghan Fire Department, Search & Rescue and Wolff’s Body Shop all assisted.
