LEE- A wreck involving one vehicle this week in Oneida County has resulted in the arrest of a local resident.

Emergency responders were dispatched shortly before 10:30 p.m. Tuesday to reports of a car that had wrecked in someone’s lawn on Elmer Hill Road.

According to Sheriff’s Office investigation, Alexander J. Sisti, 29, of Rome, NY was heading west and lost control of the Toyota he was driving.

After leaving the roadway, damaging property and striking a tree, the vehicle came to rest in someone’s lawn.

A passenger in Sisti’s vehicle was taken to Rome Memorial Hospital for minor injuries. However, police discovered there was an active stay away order between Sisti and his passenger.

Sisti was subsequently taken into custody before being taken to Rome Memorial Hospital for reports of minor injuries. Upon discharge, he was booked and processed for a charge of criminal contempt in the second-degree.

At press time, police said that Sisti was awaiting centralized arraignment. Sisti was also issued multiple Vehicle and Traffic Law citations, returnable to Lee Town Court at a later date and time.

Deputies were assisted on scene by New York State Police, AmCare Ambulance, Lake Delta Fire Department, and North Country Towing.
