DWI charges filed against Lewis County resident in Watson, Troopers say

WATSON- A local resident from Lewis County is accused of intoxicated driving.

During the early hours on Sunday, the New York State Police (Lowville) arrested and charged Melanie Michele Cartier, 22, of Harrisville, NY with one count each of DWI (first offense) and operating a motor vehicle (w/a .08 of 1% BAC or greater).

According to Troopers, this arrest was made shortly before 3:00 a.m. Sunday in the town of Watson.

At press time, authorities said that Cartier was released to a third party.

There were no further details provided.
