LCHS Electric Vehicle Charging Station

LOWVILLE- Lewis County Health System has announced the installation of brand-new electric vehicle charging stations at its main hospital campus.

Thanks to partnerships with National Grid and Charge Point Inc., these charging stations are aimed to provide residents, employees, and visitors of Lewis County Health System and motorists traveling through Lewis County to neighboring communities with electric vehicles charging 24 hours a day and seven days a week.

Each ChargePoint Level 2 commercial charging station can charge two vehicles simultaneously. "The charging stations allow our community to charge their vehicle without leaving the area," said LCHS Facilities Director Robert Fargo.

"The health system is committed to helping residents achieve their highest level of health and wellness," said Gerald R. Cayer, Chief Executive Officer.

The charging stations are located in the new Surgical Pavilion parking lot.

Those utilizing the stations are asked to move their vehicles as soon as they are charged.

ChargePoint will own and operate the chargers and handle customer transactions. Electric vehicle owners can charge without a ChargePoint account, but additional fees may apply.

The optimal charging experience is with a ChargePoint account.

If individuals create an account with ChargePoint, they tap their ChargePoint card on the contact pad, and the station unlocks and is ready to charge.

Through the company app, users can quickly pay, find charging locations, and receive notifications when their vehicle's battery charge is complete.
