
LOWVILLE- Authorities are investigating what appears to be a serious accident Wednesday afternoon in Lewis County.
It was shortly before 3:30 p.m. when 9-1-1 dispatchers began fielding calls for help about an accident in the town of Lowville on East Road, near the Sharp Road intersection.
Initial reports from emergency officials claim that the accident involved a manure spreader and another vehicle.
A landing zone was established nearby for a medical helicopter.
Authorities requested equipment to free victims from the wreck. As of this report, there is no exact number of how people who were involved in the accident.
Emergency response included Lowville, Castorland and Beaver Falls Fire Departments. Lewis County Search & Rescue also responded.
The East Road was shutdown at State Route 410, however; has since re-opened.
