Felony criminal contempt charge filed against local resident in wake of Lewis County domestic incident

DIANA- A domestic incident last Friday in Lewis County has resulted in a felony charge filed against a local resident, authorities are reporting.

Colby V. Whitton, 21, of Natural Bridge, NY was arrested Monday evening by the New York State Police (Lowville). Whitton is formally charged with one felony count of criminal contempt in the first-degree.

According to Troopers, the arrest stems from a domestic incident investigation last Friday afternoon in the town of Diana.

At press time, Whitton’s arrest status was listed as cash bail ($2,500) and police officials said an investigation was still pending.
