JEFFERSON, LEWIS & OSWEGO COUNTIES: WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 7 P.M.TUESDAY EVENING TO 1 A.M. EST THURSDAY.

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations 8 to 17-inches, with the greatest amounts across the Tug Hill and western Adirondack foothills. Winds gusting as high as 35-mph will produce areas of blowing and drifting snow.

* WHERE...The Eastern Lake Ontario Region.

* WHEN...From 7 P.M. Tuesday evening to 1 A.M. EST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Travel will be very difficult. The hazardous conditions will impact the Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning commutes.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...Widespread accumulating snow will create very difficult travel conditions. Submit snow reports through our website or social media.

 

ONEIDA COUNTY: WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM TUESDAY EVENING TO 1 A.M. EST THURSDAY.

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 7 and 13-inches.

* WHERE...Northern Oneida and Southern Oneida Counties.

* WHEN...From 7 P.M. this evening to 1 A.M. EST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday morning and evening commutes.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.

 

OLD FORGE & WESTERN ADIRONDACKS: WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 7 P.M. EST TUESDAY EVENING THROUGH WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON.

* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations between 6 and 11-inches possible.

* WHERE...Hamilton, Fulton, and Herkimer Counties.

* WHEN...From 7 P.M. EST Tuesday evening through Wednesday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Travel could be difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning commutes.
