Firefighters battle garage fire in Remsen

ONEIDA COUNTY- Numerous emergency agencies were on the scene of a garage fire Tuesday late afternoon near Remsen, NY, authorities say.

It was shortly after 5:30 p.m. when Oneida County 9-1-1 began taking reports of a structure fire on the Commons Road, town of Remsen.

Remsen Fire Department was the primary responder. An address or property owner name were not provided.

Barneveld Fire Department responded for mutual aid and Holland Patent was placed on standby.

Emergency officials say an aggressive interior attack kept damage to the garage itself and away from the home, which was attached. No injuries were reported.

Members from the New York State Police, Oneida County, STaR Ambulance and National Grid all assisted.
