FIREFIGHTERS: Tractor trailer rig took down numerous power poles and transformers in Holland Patent

ONEIDA COUNTY- Firefighters were called out Wednesday morning after a tractor trailer rig had taken down some power poles in Holland Patent, NY.

It happened shortly after 11:00 a.m. near the Holland Patent Co-op and American Legion. Holland Patent Fire Department was the primary responder, with Barneveld providing assistance.

At press time, firefighters said the truck driver was temporarily trapped in the rig until National Grid arrived and cut the power.

Emergency officials say the tractor trailer ended up taking down numerous power poles and transformers.

Images suggest there was a fire that sparked as a result from the incident, but was successfully extinguished.

We are not aware of any injuries from this incident.
