
LOWVILLE- A village man was jailed on Wednesday after threatening to kill police officers.
The Village Police Department was called out on July 15 to a welfare check. As a result of the investigation, police arrested and charged James Collins, 49, with one felony count of making a terroristic threat.
It is alleged that Collins communicated that he wanted to kill multiple police.
At press time, police said that Collins was arraigned and remanded to the Lewis County Jail on $5,000 cash bail.
He is due in Lowville Town Court at a later date.
