FOR LEWIS COUNTY- ...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 415 PM EST THIS AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of central New York, including the following counties, Lewis and Oswego. * WHEN...Until 415 PM EST Monday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams will continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. There also will be areas of slow moving or standing water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1010 AM EST, weather spotters reported between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain has fallen. This will result in ponding of water in low-lying areas and may result in minor flooding along some creeks and rivers. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.25 inches are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
