
WEBB- A hiker was rescued from a local mountain trail in the Western Adirondacks over Labor Day weekend after suffering from what appeared to be a possible cardiac event.
It happened on the afternoon of September 1. Dispatchers received reports of a 68-year-old hiker from Brewerton, NY, who was suffering from a potential cardiac event on Bald Mountain, town of Webb, Herkimer County.
DEC officials said the hiker had a history of such health issues. Forest Rangers Bills, McCartney, and Pelrah all responded and assisted the hiker back to the trailhead to an awaiting ambulance.
An off-duty paramedic and nurse were with the hiker when the incident occurred.
