FOREST RANGERS: Injured hiker rescued in Western Adirondacks

INLET- Emergency responders rescued an injured hiker last week in the Western Adirondacks.

It was shortly after 3:00 p.m. last Friday, September 18 when Hamilton County 9-1-1 requested assistance from Forest Rangers with rescuing an injured hiker on Black Bear Mountain, town of Inlet.

Responders from both Eagle Bay and Inlet Fire Departments initially located the 67-year-old from Ohio.

The hiker had suffered a reported leg injury, authorities said.

Forest Rangers Cleinman, McCartney, Miller and Scott all assisted with moving the victim out to the road, where they were met by Inlet EMS.
