WEBB- A missing hunter was found safe last weekend in the Western Adirondacks, thanks to the teamwork of emergency responders.

The DEC’s Ray Brook Dispatch received a missing hunter report during the 7:00 p.m. hour on Saturday, November 8.

The hunter was reportedly afield in a water-access only camp off from Twitchell Lake, town of Webb, Herkimer County.

Prior to the dispatch report, officials said the last contact with the 64-year-old was 6-hours earlier.

A team of four Forest Rangers searched through the night, but there was no sign of the hunter. However, the next morning, a team of 11 Forest Rangers ventured out and found the missing hunter shortly before 10:00 a.m. Sunday.

The hunter was found in good health and was brought back to the camp and reunited with family.
