Herkimer County resident accused of criminally possessing stolen property and a controlled substance in the Mohawk Valley

UTICA- A local resident from Herkimer County is accused of criminally possessing stolen property and criminally possessing a controlled substance in the Mohawk Valley, authorities say.

Brandi M. Smaldon, 30, of Poland, NY was arrested late Wednesday night by the New York State Police (Marcy). Smaldon is formally charged with one misdemeanor count each of criminally possessing stolen property in the fifth-degree and criminally possessing a controlled substance in the seventh-degree.

According to Troopers, these charges were all filed in the city of Utica, NY.

At press time, police said that Smaldon was issued with an appearance ticket.
