Home near Boonville destroyed by flames; family in need of clothing, other donations

Boonville Route 46 Fire May 2023

BOONVILLE- Clothing and other donations are being accepted for the family who lost their home over the weekend in a blaze in Northern Oneida County.

It was at around 6:00 a.m. Sunday when firefighters were dispatched to an address on State Route 46, between Jackson Hill and Mineral Springs Road.

According to reports we have received from family members, the home and all contents within were destroyed. We have no official word on any possible injuries at this time.

Family members have organized a GoFundMe page.

In addition, clothing items are being accepted, along with any other donations. Clothing needs include women's 2x, size 9 & 1/2 - 10 shoes; men's 3x shirts, xl sweats and 8 & 1/2 shoe size.

UPDATE: According to family members, any clothing and other donations may be left off at the Boonville United Methodist Church (202 Main Street.) 

Boonville Fire Department was the primary responder, with Constableville and Western assisting.
