Boonville Fair 2022

BOONVILLE- As members of the Boonville-Oneida County Fair Board hash-out the final details amidst their approaching 134th annual summer celebration, officials have come up with another initiative to get fair-goers into the grounds for free.

On opening night of this year's fair, which is aimed for Tuesday, July 26, all you'll have to do for a free admission is show a receipt that proves you shopped and spent at-least ten-dollars ($10) at any Oneida County business.

This brand-new initiative has been coined: 'I Shopped Oneida County.'

"Free admission after 5:00 p.m., with a dated receipt, 7/18 thru 7/26, $10.00 or more, from any Oneida County merchant," fair spokesperson Beth Fox told us.

"We hope to promote Oneida County businesses as well as the Fair."

Speaking of opening night, it wouldn't be a Boonville-Oneida County Fair without the traditional and gigantic parade that marches through downtown and up to the fairgrounds.

For anyone wishing to enter a float or display into the parade, applications are still being accepted. For more information, visit Boonville Fair's website or call the main office at 315-942-2251.

The parade typically kicks-off at 7:00 p.m. near the fire-hall, where the lineup will weave up Main Street; across to Ford Street and then up to the fairgrounds.

For this year's country music show, the fair is proud to introduce Tracy Byrd, featuring our local Nelson Brothers as the opening act/

Ticket prices are $35 trackside and $30 grandstand. Fox tells us that tickets are still available for sale online at Boonville Fair's website. Those who purchase their concert tickets online will also have admission to the grounds that day.

For any tickets leftover the night when Tracy Byrd hits the stage, officials say they will be sold at the grandstand gates.

There will be all sorts of free shows for all to enjoy, including 'The Dynamo Dogs,' 'Swifty Swine Racing Pigs' and Commerford Petting Zoo.

Coleman Midway will be open with carnival rides, including a wonderful variety for food, commercial vendors for all to enjoy.

With community roots anchored in agriculture, farm displays with be all throughout the grounds.

The theme for this year's 134th annual Boonville-Oneida County fair is 'Let the Good Times Grow!'
