ICYMI: Personal injuries confirmed after Lewis County house goes up in flames

GREIG- Local fire officials are investigating a blaze that resulted in personal injuries and destroyed a home over the weekend in Lewis County.

It happened sometime around 2:15 a.m. Saturday. Three-G Fire Department was the primary responder to 5819 Greig Road.

The address is reportedly owned by John Stewart.

A passerby reportedly called the fire in and by the time responders could arrive, the trailer home was already fully engulfed.

Though firefighters gave it their best efforts, the structure was a total loss. Insurance was unknown as of press time.

Personal injuries were confirmed by emergency officials, though specifics were not provided.

Lowville and Martinsburg Fire Departments provided mutual aid. Lewis County Search & Rescue and National Grid also assisted.
