In the minutes leading up to the 10:00 a.m., a 16-year-old male teenager was found to be in possession of a nonfunctional, plastic replica of a pistol.
The teen reportedly had it in his school bag. Both the school administration and the Special Patrol Officer were notified and the student was secured without any further incident, along with the school bag.
To be clear, no threat was made and the juvenile, whose name will not be released (age & youthful offender status) was charged with one misdemeanor count each of endangering the welfare of a child and criminal nuisance.
